Caribbean Stud Poker
Caribbean Poker, a variation of regular stud poker is very easy to play and
understand. Unlike standard poker games, where players compete against each
other, in Caribbean Poker, players play one-on-one with the dealer. In some
aspects, the game is similar to blackjack, but here a player is dealt five cards
instead of two.

The aim in Caribbean poker is to beat the dealer with your poker hand, or for the
dealer to have a hand that doesn't "Qualify". Prior to a hand starting, each player
makes an ante wager in the marked square. The dealer then gives each player
five cards faced down, which the player may look at. The dealer also takes five
cards, one face up and four face down.

Players have two options,
raise or fold.
If you choose to
fold you hand over your cards to the dealer and he will collect
your ante bet.
If you choose to
raise, you must bet an amount that is at least twice your ante
bet.

After all the players have made their play, the dealer shows his cards. The dealer
must have at least an Ace/King combo for his hand to qualify. Where dealer does
not qualify, the game is waived.

Each player who raised will receive back his raise wager and a 1:1 payout of any
ante bets that didn't fold. If the dealer qualifies, each player hand is then
compared individually to his.

In each case the best Caribbean poker hand wins.
Hands in Caribbean poker are ranked in same order as standard poker.
If the dealer has the better hand the player loses both ante and raise.
If your hand is better you are paid even money for the ante and the raise is paid
as follows:

However if casino has a limit of $10,000 on Royal Flush, this is what you would
receive. Be sure you know what payout limits (if any) exist in a particular casino,
before you start play, then judge betting decisions from a position of knowledge

In Internet casinos, the game may be called by different names, depending upon
the program platform a particular casino is using. For example while,
Cryptlogic
calls the game Caribbean Poker, in casinos using  Microgaming software you may
see it called
Cyber-stud-poker.
