A Note to  all Residents of the United States of America

On Friday October 13, 2006 President Bush signed a bill  whose principal purpose is to tighten security
measures for the United States sea ports. Attached to that bill was a federal ban on banking institutions
knowingly transferring funds to businesses or people that may conduct gambling operations in the  United
States
in areas where online gambling is prohibited. This affected all online casinos, poker rooms,
sports books and  bingo rooms.

This bill did not make online gambling illegal, but it did make it very difficult to fund an online casino, poker, or
bingo account. Fearful of any negative percussions, many online gambling establishments withdrew from the
US market permanently. A few kept on accepting US players, and a number have retracted their first stance
and are welcoming US players back.

There are
11 states; Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana (felony to play online poker), Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey,
New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington (felony to play online poker) and Wisconsin that disallow
gambling online, but
there are 39 that have no laws against playing online poker or online casino
games.

Although many casinos permanently closed their doors to US players, there are still online gaming venues
accepting cash deposits from US bettors who wish to continue enjoying the online casino and poker experience.

These accredited casinos all accept real money players from US players, however  most ban players from the
above mentioned 11 restricted states.
